SALSA and 3 Successful Members at SFFF


SALSA will have its own Pavilion at the Speciality & Fine Food Fair at London’s Olympia, 4-6 September.  The Fair is the UK’s largest trade event showcasing the very best of local, regional and artisanal food and drink to both UK and international buyers.

This year, SALSA is sharing its Pavilion (stand 3826) with three SALSA-Approved small businesses.  Showcasing their innovative products and their credentials, the three successful members are Meg Rivers Artisan Bakery, The British Honey Company and English charcuterie producer Capreolus Fine Foods

David Richards, Partner of Capreolus Fine Foods comments ‘With a small, specialist charcuterie like ours, we needed SALSA to demonstrate to buyers that we are meeting the high standards expected of SALSA’s food safety certification.  Interest in our range is strong, so being in the SALSA Pavilion is a real opportunity to introduce our products directly to the many buyers attending the SFFF.’

Sally Ball, SALSA Scheme Manager will be at the Fair on all three days along with other members of the SALSA team.   ‘We’re excited to be a part of SFFF once again!  Our shared Pavilion offers our Members an affordable, first-hand opportunity to bring their products to the attention of buyers and to develop new business leads under the SALSA umbrella.  In just ten years, our Certification is now recognised as the ‘go to’ route for small suppliers - these are just three of our 1050 approved members! 

Chris Grimes, SALSA Scheme Director, will also be in the Pavilion on Tuesday 6th September.  He adds, ‘For the smaller producer with limited resources, the SFFF is an excellent forum in which to see and be seen. Marketing budgets are often squeezed, and time spent by staff and owners at exhibitions really must be worth the investment.  SALSA and the SALSA Pavilion offer just what all small businesses need in an exciting but crowded marketplace – visibility, credibility and affordability.’
