SALSA’s Food Labelling Workshops will guide you through the mandatory Food Information Regulation (FIR) and are designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to create, check and authorise their own food labels. 

Developed and delivered by SALSA approved trainers this course aimed at small businesses includes;

• Allergen labelling
• Ingredient listing
• Quantitative ingredient declarations (QUID)
• Date, storage, instructions for use, name/address and origin labelling
• Quantity marking
• Product claims
• Nutrition labelling
• Presentation of mandatory food information
• Enforcement

The workshops will be of particular value to producers who may not have easy access to the technical knowledge or resources required to respond confidently to legislation. 

Participants are encouraged to bring their own labels and product information for interactive discussion and feedback.
