- The National Farmers Union (NFU)
- UK Hospitality (UKH)
*The Institute of Food Science & Technology (IFST) moderates the Scheme on behalf of the joint venture owners.
The SALSA Standard has been written by experienced food safety experts to reflect the legal requirements of UK food producers and suppliers and the enhanced expectations of 'best practice' of professional food buyers.
Whilst all buyers have specific requirements, the SALSA Standard is widely recognised as the food safety standard for small UK food and drink producers and suppliers.
The brand-new SALSA Directory is a powerful search tool designed in consultation with buyers from the retail and food service sectors. The Directory enables buyers to search for and verify SALSA-approved members quickly and effectively by product type and location. Verification of certification status.
